A lacy canopy

Rays filter in

A dusty, sparkly yellow

The fall of greens

A tumble of leaves

An elegant dance

A rhythm, from ages past

The strength of greens

Bowing, bouncing

Under multiple feet

A launchpad for wings

The arch of greens

Soaring straight and true

Or winding, seeking

Figuring out ways to get through

The song of greens

Robust and alive

Chitters and squeaks

Whistles, cheeps and tweets

The song of the world

Sung yesterday, today and tomorrow
